I used to weight 300 pounds . . . everything I saw I ate, but look
at me now . . . GORGEOUS huh?
Same
thing with my credit cards . . . everything I saw, I bought and
I bought it on credit! So
now that I am older and wiser, I have learned a little discipline
and you can too.
- Establish
a budget and assess your spending habits
- Put
away your credit cards and don't use them. However, don't cancel
them, because if you have a low credit rating, you may have trouble
getting new cards
- Discuss
ways with your family how you can cut costs. Set goals and limits.
- Use
some of your savings to eliminate some of your debt, which may
save you hundreds of dollars in interest
- Always
pay more than the minimum balance on your credit cards. If you
just pay the minimum payment, you will never pay off the balance.
- Resolve
to eliminate your debt
